Third Topic: The Electoral College
The third topic that interest me the most was the Electoral College. Electoral College is a group of electors from each state that indirectly elect the president and Vice President. Electors are a set of people chosen by political and state parties. Legislatures vote in the presidential election for the major candidates. The Popular Vote are votes casted by the general public counting the numbers of votes obtained nationally for each candidate. In fact, sometimes its possible to lose the popular vote, and still became president. Winner take all systems is a system where a candidate who wins the majority of the popular votes in the states wins all of the electoral votes from that state. Electoral College is a process. The founding fathers established it in Article II of the Constitution in a way so we can elect our president. There are 538 electors in the electoral college. 270 is the number to reach to win presidency.
This unit was very important to me because 2016 was the year that a new president was going to join the White House. This unite helped me understand how the process is to become presidency. For example in June 8th I was able to understand what was going on-on tv during the election. I was able to see who was going to win when they reached the 270. In addition, even though Trump lost the popular vote he still won the election. This was a very helpful unit because it gave many information and easier to help understand this election.

I agree this was also one of my favorite topics of this class.
